Chopard L.U.C

ABOUT COLLECTION

L.U.C is the in-house line of the Swiss brand Chopard, named after the initials of the brand's founder, Louis-Ulysse Chopard. It began in 1996, when Chopard set up its own movement production in Fleurier. Since then L.U.C has been the brand's haute horlogerie line: calibres developed in-house in strict, classic cases with hand finishing.

The line is recognised above all by its movements. The micro-rotor is set into the plane of the bridges and adds no height to the calibre, while the two stacked barrels of L.U.C Twin give more than two days of power reserve in a thin case. For long running there is the Quattro system with four barrels. Some calibres are COSC-certified chronometers, and the finest carry the Geneva Seal (Poinçon de Genève) and the Qualité Fleurier mark. On the outside, L.U.C is identified by Dauphine-fusée hands, satin-finished case flanks and a calm dial without unnecessary decoration.

Classic models include the stainless steel LUC Classic Mark III with small seconds and date and the hand-wound L.U.C Heritage 1963 in rose gold. Ultra-thin watches are represented by the L.U.C Xp II Sarto Kiton Limited Edition. Complications include the LUC Strike One, which strikes each hour, the L.U.C. Tech Twist with baguette-cut diamonds on the bezel, and two world-time models: the L.U.C Time Traveler One Black and the L.U.C Time Traveler One 42 mm Rose Gold Oman Limited.

Each product page lists the condition, what is included, reference, calibre, case size and power reserve.
