The Chopard LUC Strike One (ref. 161912-5002) is a men's dress watch with a 40.5 mm round case in rose gold. It has a black and grey dial under sapphire crystal.
It is powered by the self-winding mechanical calibre L.U.C 96SH with a power reserve of 65 hours. Functions: Repeater, date. Water-resistant to 30 m. The watch is fitted with an alligator leather strap with a folding clasp in rose gold.
This example is brand new, and comes with the original box and papers.
Caliber L.U.C 96SH has a patented striking mechanism that chimes each passing hour. It has a 22-carat gold micro-rotor and two coaxial barrels using Chopard Twin technology.

Chopard was founded in 1860 by Louis-Ulysse Chopard in Sonvilier, in the Swiss Jura, and has been owned by the Scheufele family since 1963. Now based in Geneva, it makes both jewellery and watches, with its own L.U.C movements produced in Fleurier since the late 1990s. Its best-known invention is Happy Diamonds, in which loose diamonds move freely between two sapphire crystals.
That idea runs through Happy Sport watches and Happy Hearts jewellery. Other lines include the Imperiale, the Alpine Eagle sports watch, the Mille Miglia and Grand Prix de Monaco Historique chronographs linked to motor racing, and L.U.C dress watches.
