Arnold & Son is named after John Arnold, the eighteenth-century English watchmaker known for his marine chronometers. The brand was revived in Switzerland in the 1990s and now works from La Chaux-de-Fonds, making its own movements with an emphasis on astronomical displays and traditional finishing.
Its collections include tourbillons, moon phase and time-zone watches. The DSTB (Dial Side True Beat) shows a deadbeat seconds mechanism on the dial side, so the seconds hand moves in one-second steps like a precision regulator.
