Gérald Genta was a watch designer who created some of the best-known watches of the 20th century, including the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak and the Patek Philippe Nautilus. He launched his own brand in Geneva in 1969, which became known for complicated watches, including grand sonneries and minute repeaters, and for whimsical dials featuring cartoon characters. The brand was later acquired by Bulgari.
Models include the Geneva dress watches in gold, the Octo and Gefica lines, and the Retro series with jumping hours and retrograde minutes.
