Rolex Datejust

ABOUT COLLECTION

The Rolex Datejust is the brand's classic watch with a date in a dial aperture. Introduced in 1945, it was the first self-winding wrist chronometer with an automatically changing date. Today the Datejust is recognised by its Oyster case, the date at 3 o'clock under the Cyclops lens, which magnifies it 2.5 times, and its fluted or smooth bezel. The date sets it apart from the Oyster Perpetual, and the absence of the day of the week from the Day-Date.

Within the line, watches differ in size, case material, bezel and bracelet. Case sizes range from 26 to 41 mm. Materials are Oystersteel or Rolesor — a combination of steel and gold, the gold being yellow, white or Everose. The bezel can be fluted, smooth or diamond-set, and the bracelet Jubilee or Oyster. Rolex describes each version in a single line giving model, case, diameter and metals — for example "Datejust 41, Oyster, 41 mm, Oystersteel and white gold" or "Datejust 36, Oyster, 36 mm, Oystersteel and yellow gold" — and the listings here are named on the same principle.

The selection includes both new and pre-owned watches made between 2011 and 2026. Each listing gives the reference, calibre, power reserve, case material, condition and what is included.
