Urwerk UR-100V

The Urwerk UR-100V is a wristwatch with satellite time display: the time is shown not by hands but by rotating satellites carrying the hour numerals. Urwerk is an independent Swiss brand, and this display is its signature. What sets this series apart are two astronomical scales on either side of the dial. One shows the distance a point on the equator travels in 20 minutes as the planet rotates — 555.5 km. The other shows the distance the Earth travels along its orbit around the Sun in the same 20 minutes: 35,742 km.

The series' distinctive silhouette comes from its domed sapphire crystal, which allows the satellites and scales to be viewed from different angles. The collection is represented by the men's UR-100V Magic T in titanium.
