Richard Mille RM 07-01

ABOUT COLLECTION

The RM 07-01 is a ladies' collection from the Swiss brand Richard Mille: watches in a curved tonneau case with an open movement. Materials play the leading role – composites, ceramics, titanium and gold.

The case is made of three parts: bezel, middle and caseback. Inside is the in-house automatic CRMA2 calibre, a skeletonised movement with a baseplate and bridges in Grade 5 titanium and a variable-geometry rotor. Components are finished by hand, with satin-finished surfaces alternating with polished bevels and micro-blasting.

The main choice is the case material. The watches come in Carbon TPT and Quartz TPT composites, in high-tech ATZ and TZP ceramics, and combined with red or white gold elements. TPT composites are built up from hundreds of parallel resin-impregnated filaments, which gives the case surface its distinctive graphic pattern. Then it comes down to style – sporty or jewellery.

One example is the Racing Red Limited Edition, with a case in Red Quartz TPT and Carbon TPT, a black and red skeletonised dial, black PVD-coated bridges and a red canvas strap with a titanium clasp. The similarly numbered RM 07-04 has its own page.
