Richard Mille RM 020

ABOUT COLLECTION

The RM 020 is a hand-wound tourbillon pocket watch from Richard Mille. The collection reinterprets the classic pocket watch through the lens of contemporary haute horlogerie: instead of a retro style, it has an architectural case, an open movement and technical materials.

At its heart is the hand-wound RM020 tourbillon calibre. The one-piece baseplate is made of carbon nanofibre. Two mainspring barrels provide a ten-day power reserve – 240 hours – with consistent torque throughout. The skeletonised black dial under sapphire crystal and the transparent caseback reveal the movement from both sides. A power reserve indicator shows how much winding is left, and the W-N-H function selector sets the crown mode.

The RM 020 has a dual format. The rectangular case has a quick-release mechanism for attaching it to a chain, so the watch can be carried in a pocket. Taken off the chain and placed on its dedicated stand, the pocket watch becomes a desk clock.

One example is the Manual Winding Tourbillon Pocket Watch, a men's pocket watch with a case in white gold and titanium.
