Omega Constellation

ABOUT COLLECTION

Omega Constellation is one of the Swiss company's oldest collections, in continuous production since 1952. The first Constellations were men's automatic chronometers. The name and a star appeared on the dial above 6 o'clock, and the caseback bore a medallion with the Geneva Observatory and eight stars commemorating the brand's precision records.

In 1982 came the Constellation Manhattan, designed by Carole Didisheim, and since then the line has been identified by its four polished claws (griffes) and integrated bracelet. Later the Roman numerals moved from the dial to the fixed bezel, with the claws in place of III and IX. Then came the square ladies' Constellation Quadra and the Constellation Double Eagle, which in 2003 switched to the Omega 2500 – the brand's first series-production calibre with a co-axial escapement. The 2015 Constellation Globemaster brought the pie-pan dial back to men's models and was the first Omega to be certified Master Chronometer.

The collection spans ladies', men's and unisex models in steel, yellow or rose gold, and bi-colour steel and yellow gold. The Constellation 41mm has a ceramic bezel, while jewellery versions have diamonds on the bezel or in place of the markers. The key choices are movement and case size.
