Breguet Type XXI

ABOUT COLLECTION

The Type XXI collection comprises flyback pilot's chronographs from the Swiss manufacture Breguet. The line continues the Type XX military chronograph, created in the mid-20th century for the French Air Force. Type XX and Type XXII have their own pages.

Type XXI is recognised by its case with the brand's signature coin-edge fluting on the sides and by its rotating graduated bezel. Its main complications are the flyback function and a central chronograph minutes hand.

Within the line it is easiest to choose by reference and case material. Reference 3810 comes in stainless steel, pink gold and matt titanium, with a brown, anthracite grey or black dial. The 3817 is steel, with a transparent sapphire caseback and a bezel with a 60-minute scale. The 3815 is the titanium Type XXI 42 mm with a black dial and green luminescent Arabic numerals.
