Blancpain Villeret

ABOUT COLLECTION

Blancpain Villeret is the brand's classic line: Blancpain named it after the Swiss village of Villeret, where it all began in 1735. These are formal watches to wear with a suit — a round case, a clean dial and no sporty attributes.

Villeret is recognised by three details. The double pomme case has a double-stepped bezel that leads smoothly from case to crystal. The hands are shaped like sage leaves. The numerals are applied: Roman numerals on most models, and Arabic numerals with small seconds on one of the ultra-thin versions.

Two branches of the line are represented here. The ultra-thin watches have a power-reserve indicator, with a date added on the Villeret Ultra-Slim; in the brand's catalogue these models appear under the name Villeret Ultraplate. The calendar branch is the Villeret Quantième Complet: day and month in apertures, a pointer date and moon phase. The Villeret Moon Phase offers the same complete calendar.

Within the line, the first choice is between a calendar and an ultra-thin case, followed by metal and diameter. Cases are available in stainless steel, pink gold and white gold.
