The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Double Balance Wheel Openworked (ref. 15407ST.OO.1220ST.01) is a men's sports watch with a 41 mm octagonal case in stainless steel. The dial is protected by sapphire crystal.
It is powered by the self-winding mechanical calibre 3132 with a power reserve of 45 hours. Water-resistant to 50 m. The watch is fitted with a Royal Oak bracelet with a folding clasp in steel.
This example is brand new, dated 2024, and comes with the original box and papers.
Calibre 3132 is an openworked self-winding movement with a double balance wheel: two balances on one axis improve stability and precision. It runs at 3 Hz with a power reserve of 45 hours.

Audemars Piguet was founded in 1875 in Le Brassus, in the Vallée de Joux, by Jules-Louis Audemars and Edward-Auguste Piguet, and is still owned by the founding families. The house built its reputation on complicated watches and, in 1972, launched the Royal Oak, designed by Gérald Genta: a steel sports watch with an octagonal bezel held by eight visible screws, a "Tapisserie" dial and an integrated bracelet.
The Royal Oak family dominates the range: the classic Royal Oak in steel, gold, titanium and ceramic, the slim "Jumbo" Extra-Thin, openworked and skeleton versions, perpetual calendars and tourbillon chronographs. The larger, sportier Royal Oak Offshore followed in 1993, alongside the Royal Oak Concept and the round Code 11.59 collection introduced in 2019.
