The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak 37 mm White Dial Rose Gold 50th Anniversary (ref. 15551OR.ZZ.1356OR.01) is a ladies' sports watch with a 37 mm octagonal case in rose gold. The dial is protected by sapphire crystal.

It is powered by the self-winding mechanical calibre 5900 with a power reserve of up to 60 hours. Functions: Date. Water-resistant to 50 m. The watch is fitted with a Royal Oak bracelet with an AP folding clasp in 18k rose gold.

This example is in perfect condition, and comes with the original box and papers.

Caliber 5900 is 3.9 mm thick and runs at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz). It has a 22-carat pink gold rotor and a 60-hour power reserve.

ABOUT BRAND

Audemars Piguet was founded in 1875 in Le Brassus, in the Vallée de Joux, by Jules-Louis Audemars and Edward-Auguste Piguet, and is still owned by the founding families. The house built its reputation on complicated watches and, in 1972, launched the Royal Oak, designed by Gérald Genta: a steel sports watch with an octagonal bezel held by eight visible screws, a "Tapisserie" dial and an integrated bracelet.

The Royal Oak family dominates the range: the classic Royal Oak in steel, gold, titanium and ceramic, the slim "Jumbo" Extra-Thin, openworked and skeleton versions, perpetual calendars and tourbillon chronographs. The larger, sportier Royal Oak Offshore followed in 1993, alongside the Royal Oak Concept and the round Code 11.59 collection introduced in 2019.
