The Patek Philippe Gondolo Platinum (ref. 5098P-001) is a men's dress watch with a 32 mm barrel case in platinum. It has a silver dial under sapphire crystal.
It is powered by the hand-wound mechanical calibre 25-21 REC. Features: Guilloché dial, tonneau case, transparent caseback, blued hands, gyromax balance. Water-resistant to 20 m. The watch is fitted with an alligator leather strap with a classic buckle in platinum.
This example is brand new, and comes with the original box and papers.
Caliber 25-21 REC was created specifically for the rectangular and tonneau cases of the Gondolo collection. This manual-winding movement has the patented Gyromax balance and bears the Geneva Seal.

Patek Philippe was founded in Geneva in 1839 by Antoine Norbert de Patek and François Czapek; the watchmaker Adrien Philippe joined Patek in 1845, and the firm took its current name in 1851. Still independent and family-owned, the manufacture is known for hand-finished movements and for complications such as perpetual calendars, minute repeaters and astronomical displays.
Key collections include the Calatrava, the classic round dress watch; the Nautilus, the steel sports watch designed by Gérald Genta in 1976; the Aquanaut; and the Grand Complications, which include models such as the Sky Moon Celestial. Ladies' watches, the Golden Ellipse and the Gondolo are also part of the catalogue.
