The Patek Philippe Nautilus Travel Time Chronograph Blue Dial (ref. 5990/1A-001) is a men's sports watch with a 40.5 mm octagonal case in stainless steel. The dial is protected by sapphire crystal.
It is powered by the self-winding mechanical calibre CH 28‑520 C FUS with a power reserve of up to 55 hours. Functions: Chronograph, second time zone, date. Water-resistant to 120 m. The watch is fitted with a metal bracelet with a folding clasp in steel.
The in-house CH 28-520 PS is an automatic chronograph with a column wheel and vertical friction clutch. It has a 21-carat gold rotor and a Gyromax balance.

Patek Philippe was founded in Geneva in 1839 by Antoine Norbert de Patek and François Czapek; the watchmaker Adrien Philippe joined Patek in 1845, and the firm took its current name in 1851. Still independent and family-owned, the manufacture is known for hand-finished movements and for complications such as perpetual calendars, minute repeaters and astronomical displays.
Key collections include the Calatrava, the classic round dress watch; the Nautilus, the steel sports watch designed by Gérald Genta in 1976; the Aquanaut; and the Grand Complications, which include models such as the Sky Moon Celestial. Ladies' watches, the Golden Ellipse and the Gondolo are also part of the catalogue.
