The Patek Philippe Calatrava Pilot 5522A Calatrava Steel "New York" Limited (ref. 5522A-001) is a pilot's watch with a 42 mm round case in stainless steel. It has a blue dial under sapphire crystal.

It is powered by the self-winding mechanical calibre Patek 324 S with a power reserve of 45 hours. Features: Central seconds hand, luminescent markers, transparent caseback, limited edition. Water-resistant to 50 m. The watch is fitted with a calfskin strap with a pin buckle in steel.

This example is in perfect condition, dated 2017, and comes with the original box and papers.

Automatic caliber 324 S has a 21-carat gold rotor, a Gyromax balance and a silicon Spiromax hairspring. It bears the Patek Philippe Seal, which guarantees high accuracy and strict standards of hand finishing.

ABOUT BRAND

Patek Philippe was founded in Geneva in 1839 by Antoine Norbert de Patek and François Czapek; the watchmaker Adrien Philippe joined Patek in 1845, and the firm took its current name in 1851. Still independent and family-owned, the manufacture is known for hand-finished movements and for complications such as perpetual calendars, minute repeaters and astronomical displays.

Key collections include the Calatrava, the classic round dress watch; the Nautilus, the steel sports watch designed by Gérald Genta in 1976; the Aquanaut; and the Grand Complications, which include models such as the Sky Moon Celestial.
