The Cartier Prive Tortue Monopoussoir (ref. WHTO0008) is a watch with a 43 mm case in platinum.
It is powered by the hand-wound mechanical calibre 1928 MC. Water-resistant to 30 m.
This example is brand new, dated 2024, and comes with the original box and papers.
Hand-wound calibre 1928 MC is a monopusher chronograph movement shaped for the Tortue case, with start, stop and reset on a single crown pusher.

Cartier was founded in Paris in 1847 by Louis-François Cartier and grew into one of the best-known jewellers in the world under his grandsons Louis, Pierre and Jacques. Its watchmaking history includes the Santos, created in 1904 for the aviator Alberto Santos-Dumont and one of the first wristwatches designed for men, and the Tank of 1917. The panther, used as a motif since the early 20th century, remains a signature of the house.
