Grand Complications is the top tier of the Patek Philippe range. This is where the Geneva manufacture places its "grand complications": perpetual calendars, chronographs and split-seconds chronographs with perpetual calendar, astronomical indications, as well as minute repeaters and tourbillons. The similarly named Complications collection is a separate line.

The Grand Complications collection includes perpetual calendars, perpetual calendar chronographs and astronomical watches. The calendar is displayed in different ways:

  • sub-dials with moon phase – on the Grand Complications 5327G and on the tonneau-cased Grand Complications White Gold and Complicated Perpetual Calendar;
  • a single-line window for the day, date and month – on the Grand Complications 5236P-001;
  • a retrograde date scale – on the 5496R-001;
  • a cream lacquered dial with Arabic numerals – on the Perpetual Calendar 5320G-001.

The perpetual calendar chronograph is the Grand Complications Perpetual Calendar Chronograph: the 5270J-001 in yellow gold on a strap and the 5270/1R-001, whose rose gold case continues into a Goutte-link bracelet. The split-seconds chronograph with perpetual calendar and olive green dial is the 5204G-001 Grand Complications Perpetual Calendar White Gold. Astronomy is represented by the Sky Moon Celestial Grand Complication.

The choice comes down to metal, size and condition. Options include white, yellow and rose gold, platinum, and the combined platinum and rose gold case of the Celestial 5102PR-001. Case sizes range from 35 mm for the tonneau models to 43.1 mm for the astronomical ones, almost all on leather straps.
