Panerai Ferrari

ABOUT COLLECTION

Panerai Ferrari is a line of wristwatches made by the Florentine brand Panerai together with Ferrari of Maranello from 2005 to 2010. The project ended and was never revived, making these watches a closed chapter in the history of both brands. The series has two directions: the restrained Granturismo and the racing Scuderia.

The cushion case derives from the Luminor, but without the patented crown-protecting bridge by which the Luminor is recognised. Instead, the crown and chronograph pushers are knurled in the style of racing engine parts, and the dial echoes a sports car's instrument panel. The Granturismo has the Scuderia Ferrari prancing horse logo at the centre of the dial.

Examples include steel chronographs with black dials and sapphire crystal: the Officine Ferrari Granturismo Chronograph and the Ferrari Scuderia Chronograph. The choice comes down to the dial, condition and completeness of set.
