Masters is a series of Swiss watches from Daniel Roth. The brand was founded by the watchmaker Daniel Roth, who worked at Breguet before opening his own atelier. The Masters collection is recognisable by its Double Ellipse case, combining the geometry of a circle and a rectangle.
Two men's models illustrate the series. Both have multi-level, hand-guilloché dials, blued hands, sapphire crystal and a transparent caseback. The first is the Daniel Roth Master Chronograph with date in a 38 mm steel case with a stepped bezel and integrated lugs, a silver-grey dial, Roman numerals and Breguet ‘pomme’ hands. The second is the Masters Perpetual Calendar Chronograph Moon Phase in platinum, 41 mm: a chronograph with perpetual calendar and moon-phase indicator, with a blue outer ring on a silvered dial.
Within the series the choice is by complication, case metal and condition. Masters cases were made in yellow, rose and white gold and platinum, and occasionally in steel. Besides chronographs and calendars, the series included tourbillons and retrograde displays. The brand's other collections are Daniel Roth Tourbillon, Daniel Roth Chronograph and Daniel Roth Academie.
