Breitling Aerospace

ABOUT COLLECTION

Aerospace is a multifunction chronograph from the Swiss brand Breitling with analogue-digital display: the hands show the current time, while two LCD displays on the dial handle the chronograph, timer and other functions. Breitling released the first Aerospace in 1985; today the line belongs to the Breitling Professional collection.

Models in the line include the Aerospace Avantage, Aerospace B70 Orbiter and Aerospace Evo. All three have a titanium case, a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides and 100 m water resistance, and are powered by the thermocompensated SuperQuartz calibre.

The B70 Orbiter was released for the 25th anniversary of the Breitling Orbiter 3 balloon flight: on 21 March 1999 Bertrand Piccard and Brian Jones became the first to fly around the globe non-stop in it. The orange dial carries the mission emblem, and a fragment of the balloon itself is mounted beneath the sapphire window in the caseback.
