The Zenith El Primero Chronomaster Open Silver Dial Power Reserve (ref. 03.2080.4021/01.C494) is a men's dress watch with a 42 mm round case in stainless steel. The dial is protected by sapphire crystal.

It is powered by the self-winding mechanical calibre 4021 with a power reserve of 50 hours. Functions: Chronograph, power reserve indicator. Water-resistant to 100 m. The watch is fitted with an alligator leather strap with a folding clasp in steel.

This example is pre-owned and in good condition, and comes with the original box and papers.

An automatic chronograph with a high balance frequency of 36,000 vibrations per hour (5 Hz), measuring time intervals to 1/10 of a second. The movement has 248 parts and an integrated power reserve display on the dial.

Zenith was founded in 1865 by Georges Favre-Jacot in Le Locle, in the Swiss Jura, and is one of the oldest integrated manufactures in Switzerland. Its most famous achievement is the El Primero, presented in 1969 as one of the first automatic chronograph movements and running at a high frequency of 36,000 vibrations per hour.

The El Primero calibre powers the Chronomaster collection, including the Chronomaster Sport and open-dial versions.
