The Zenith Academy Tourbillon Chronograph Platinum (ref. 40.1260.4005) is a men's dress watch with a 45 mm round case in white gold. It has a black dial under sapphire crystal.

It is powered by a self-winding mechanical movement. Features: Tourbillon carriage, date indicator around the tourbillon, transparent caseback, luminescent hands. Water-resistant to 30 m. The watch is fitted with an alligator leather strap with a folding clasp in white gold.

This example is pre-owned and in good condition.

The in-house El Primero 4005 caliber combines a high-frequency chronograph beating at 36,000 vph with a tourbillon cage. The movement consists of 319 parts and offers chronometer-level timing accuracy.

Zenith was founded in 1865 by Georges Favre-Jacot in Le Locle, in the Swiss Jura, and is one of the oldest integrated manufactures in Switzerland. Its most famous achievement is the El Primero, presented in 1969 as one of the first automatic chronograph movements and running at a high frequency of 36,000 vibrations per hour.
