The Omega Speedmaster '57 Blue 41,5 mm (ref. 331.12.42.51.03.001) is a men's sports watch with a 42 mm round case in stainless steel. It has a black dial under sapphire crystal.
It is powered by the hand-wound mechanical calibre 9300 with a power reserve of 50 hours. Functions: Chronograph, date. Water-resistant to 50 m. The watch is fitted with a Five-link steel bracelet with a folding clasp in steel.
This example is in perfect condition, and comes with the original box and papers.
The Omega 3861 caliber is an evolution of the 1861 with an added co-axial escapement and a Si14 silicon balance spring. Master Chronometer certification guarantees resistance to magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss and a precision of 0/+5 seconds per day.

Omega was founded in 1848 by Louis Brandt in La Chaux-de-Fonds and is now based in Biel/Bienne, Switzerland. The brand is known for its long association with timekeeping at the Olympic Games, for the Speedmaster chronograph worn on the Moon during the Apollo missions, and for the Co-Axial escapement and Master Chronometer certification of its movements.
