The Rolex Explorer II Polar White Dial (ref. 216570) is a men's sports watch with a 42 mm round case in stainless steel. The dial is protected by sapphire crystal.
It is powered by the self-winding mechanical calibre 3187 with a power reserve of 48 hours. Functions: Second time zone, date. Water-resistant to 100 m. The watch is fitted with an Oyster bracelet with an Oysterlock in steel.
This example is in perfect condition, and comes with the original box and papers.
The Rolex 3187 caliber was developed specifically for the 42 mm case and has a blue Parachrom hairspring and Paraflex shock absorbers.

Rolex was founded in London in 1905 by Hans Wilsdorf and Alfred Davis, registered the Rolex name in 1908 and moved to Geneva after the First World War.
