The Perrelet Turbine 44 mm (ref. A1047/2) is a men's sports watch with a 44 mm round case in ceramic. It has a black and grey dial under sapphire crystal.

It is powered by the self-winding mechanical calibre P-331 with a power reserve of 40 hours. Features: Rotating 12-blade turbine on the dial, luminescent coating on hands and markers, transparent caseback, anti-reflective coated sapphire crystal. Water-resistant to 50 m. The watch is fitted with a rubber strap with a classic buckle in PVD-coated steel.

This example is brand new, and comes with the original box and papers.

Caliber P-331 was developed from Festina/Soprod group designs specifically for a series with a front-mounted rotating weight. The movement is adapted to the high dynamic loads created by the rotating blades on the dial.

ABOUT BRAND

Perrelet takes its name from Abraham-Louis Perrelet, an 18th-century watchmaker from Le Locle who is credited with one of the first self-winding mechanisms. The modern brand, based in Switzerland, continues this theme with automatic watches in which the movement of the rotor is visible, notably the Double Rotor with a second rotor on the dial and the Turbine with a rotating blade display.

The range includes the Turbine sports models, the classic Rectangle Royale and ladies' watches such as the Diamond Flower, where a rotor in the form of a flower turns on the dial and is set with diamonds.
