The Panerai Luminor 1950 (Fiddy) (ref. PAM 00127) is a men's sports watch with a 47 mm barrel case in stainless steel. It has a black dial under sapphire crystal.

It is powered by a hand-wound mechanical movement. Features: Small seconds, sandwich dial, domed sapphire crystal, crown guard bridge, transparent caseback. Water-resistant to 100 m. The watch is fitted with a leather strap with a pin buckle in steel.

This example is pre-owned and in good condition, and comes with the original box and papers.

The Panerai OP XI caliber is based on the hand-wound ETA 6497-2 with a balance running at 21,600 vibrations per hour. The modified version has reworked bridges with the brand's decoration, a swan-neck fine regulator and COSC chronometer certification.

ABOUT BRAND

Panerai was founded in Florence in 1860 by Giovanni Panerai as a watch shop and workshop. In the twentieth century the firm supplied precision instruments and diving watches to the Italian Navy, developing luminous Radium dials and, later, the crown-protecting bridge that defines the Luminor case. The brand has been based in Neuchâtel since its relaunch in the late 1990s.

The two core families are the Luminor, including the Luminor Marina and Luminor 1950 models, and the Radiomir, with its cushion case and wire lugs. The Submersible divers and the Luminor Due complete the range, alongside models with multi-day power reserves such as 3 Days and 8 Days, and earlier special editions such as the Ferrari series.
