The Panerai Luminor 8-Days 44 mm (ref. PAM00590) is a men's sports watch with a 44 mm barrel case in stainless steel. It has a black dial under sapphire crystal.

It is powered by the hand-wound mechanical calibre P.5000 with a power reserve of 192 hours. Features: Small seconds, luminescent markers, crown guard bridge, 8-day power reserve, KIF Parechoc shock protection. Water-resistant to 300 m. The watch is fitted with an Assolutamente strap with a classic buckle in stainless steel.

This example is in perfect condition, dated 2018, and comes with the original box and papers.

The in-house P.5000 caliber was designed to run for a long time without rewinding. It has two barrels in series and a solid plate covering the gear train.

ABOUT BRAND

Panerai was founded in Florence in 1860 by Giovanni Panerai as a watch shop and workshop. In the twentieth century the firm supplied precision instruments and diving watches to the Italian Navy, developing luminous Radium dials and, later, the crown-protecting bridge that defines the Luminor case. The brand has been based in Neuchâtel since its relaunch in the late 1990s.

The two core families are the Luminor, including the Luminor Marina and Luminor 1950 models, and the Radiomir, with its cushion case and wire lugs. The Submersible divers and the Luminor Due complete the range, alongside models with multi-day power reserves such as 3 Days and 8 Days, and earlier special editions such as the Ferrari series.
