The A. Lange & Sohne Little Lange 1 MOON Phase in 18-carat white gold (ref. 182.086) is a dress watch with a 38.5 mm round case in white gold. It has a black dial under sapphire crystal.

It is powered by the hand-wound mechanical calibre L121.2 with a power reserve of 72 hours. Functions: Power reserve indicator, date, moon phases. Water-resistant to 50 m. The watch is fitted with an alligator leather strap with a classic buckle in white gold.

This example is brand new, dated 2023, and comes with the original box and papers.

Caliber L901.0 consists of 365 parts and is assembled twice by hand. The three-quarter plate is made of untreated German silver with Glashütte ribbing, and the balance cock is hand-engraved.

ABOUT BRAND

A. Lange & Söhne was founded in 1845 by Ferdinand Adolph Lange in Glashütte, Saxony, which became the centre of German fine watchmaking. After the company was expropriated in 1948, it was re-founded in 1990 by Walter Lange and Günter Blümlein and presented its first new collection in 1994. Its watches are known for German silver three-quarter plates, hand-engraved balance cocks and movements assembled twice.

Key collections include the Lange 1 with its off-centre dial and outsize date, the Saxonia, the 1815, the Datograph, the Zeitwerk with jumping digital hours and the Odysseus sports watch. The range also covers moon phases, the Langematik Perpetual and other calendar complications.
