The F.P. Journe Tourbillon Souverain 38 mm Platinum Brass Movement is a men's dress watch with a 38 mm round case in platinum. It has a champagne and silver dial under sapphire crystal.
It is powered by the hand-wound mechanical calibre 1498. Functions: Tourbillon. Water-resistant to 30 m. The watch is fitted with an alligator leather strap with a classic buckle in platinum.
This example is in perfect condition, and comes with the original box.
Manual-winding caliber 1498 is made of rhodium-plated brass and has a Remontoir d'Egalite. The system delivers constant energy to the escapement regardless of how far the mainspring is wound.

F.P. Journe was founded in Geneva in 1999 by François-Paul Journe, a watchmaker trained in Paris. The brand produces a small number of watches each year with movements in rose gold, and is known for its research into chronometry, including the Tourbillon Souverain with a constant-force remontoire and the Chronomètre à Résonance.
Collections include the Souveraine line (Tourbillon Souverain, Chronomètre Souverain), the Octa models with large date and UTC indications, the Élégante with its electro-mechanical movement and Titalyt cases, and the sporty Linesport, which includes the Chronographe Monopoussoir Rattrapante.
