The F.P. Journe Octa UTC Platinum (ref. OCTA UTC/40PT/WG) is a men's dress watch with a 40 mm round case in platinum. It has a grey and silver dial under sapphire crystal.
It is powered by a self-winding mechanical movement with a power reserve of 120 hours. Functions: Power reserve indicator, world time, date. The watch is fitted with an alligator leather strap with a classic buckle in platinum.
This example is unworn, and comes with the original box and papers.
In-house caliber 1300.3 is made of 750 pink gold. It has a 22-carat gold oscillating rotor and provides 120 hours of stable running from a single barrel.

F.P. Journe was founded in Geneva in 1999 by François-Paul Journe, a watchmaker trained in Paris. The brand produces a small number of watches each year with movements in rose gold, and is known for its research into chronometry, including the Tourbillon Souverain with a constant-force remontoire and the Chronomètre à Résonance.
Collections include the Souveraine line (Tourbillon Souverain, Chronomètre Souverain), the Octa models with large date and UTC indications, the Élégante with its electro-mechanical movement and Titalyt cases, and the sporty Linesport, which includes the Chronographe Monopoussoir Rattrapante. Many references are produced in platinum or as limited editions.
