The F.P. Journe Platinum Ruthenium Dial 40 mm Limited Edition (ref. OCTA CHRONO) is a men's dress watch with a 40 mm round case in platinum. The dial is protected by sapphire crystal.
It is powered by the self-winding mechanical calibre 1300.3. Functions: Chronograph, date. Water-resistant to 30 m. The watch is fitted with an alligator leather strap with a classic buckle in platinum.
This example is in perfect condition, and comes with the original box.
Automatic caliber FP Journe 1300, with a 120-hour power reserve, is made of brass with a dark grey galvanic ruthenium coating. It has unidirectional self-winding with a 22-carat gold rotor.

F.P. Journe was founded in Geneva in 1999 by François-Paul Journe, a watchmaker trained in Paris. The brand produces a small number of watches each year with movements in rose gold, and is known for its research into chronometry, including the Tourbillon Souverain with a constant-force remontoire and the Chronomètre à Résonance.
Collections include the Souveraine line (Tourbillon Souverain, Chronomètre Souverain), the Octa models with large date and UTC indications, the Élégante with its electro-mechanical movement and Titalyt cases, and the sporty Linesport, which includes the Chronographe Monopoussoir Rattrapante. Many references are produced in platinum or as limited editions.
