The F.P. Journe Octa Automatique Réserve Platinum is a dress watch with a 40 mm round case in platinum. It has a silver and white dial under sapphire crystal.
It is powered by a self-winding mechanical movement. Functions: Power reserve indicator, date. Water-resistant to 30 m. The watch is fitted with an alligator leather strap with a pin buckle in platinum.
This example is brand new, and comes with the original box and papers.
Caliber 1300.3 is made of 18-carat rose gold and runs continuously for 120 hours from a single barrel. It has a unidirectional 22-carat gold rotor and a variable-inertia chronometer balance.

F.P. Journe was founded in Geneva in 1999 by François-Paul Journe, a watchmaker trained in Paris. The brand produces a small number of watches each year with movements in rose gold, and is known for its research into chronometry, including the Tourbillon Souverain with a constant-force remontoire and the Chronomètre à Résonance.
Collections include the Souveraine line (Tourbillon Souverain, Chronomètre Souverain), the Octa models with large date and UTC indications, the Élégante with its electro-mechanical movement and Titalyt cases, and the sporty Linesport, which includes the Chronographe Monopoussoir Rattrapante. Many references are produced in platinum or as limited editions.
