The Rolex Explorer II White Dial (ref. 226570) is a men's sports watch with a 42 mm round case in stainless steel. The dial is protected by sapphire crystal.
It is powered by the self-winding mechanical calibre 3285 with a power reserve of up to 70 hours. Functions: Second time zone, date. Water-resistant to 100 m. The watch is fitted with an Oyster bracelet with an Oysterlock in steel.
This example is brand new, dated 2024, and comes with the original box and papers.
In-house caliber 3285 has the patented Chronergy escapement in nickel-phosphorus alloy, for high energy efficiency and reliability. The shock-resistant Parachrom hairspring and Paraflex shock absorbers keep the rate stable in demanding conditions.

Rolex was founded in London in 1905 by Hans Wilsdorf and Alfred Davis, registered the Rolex name in 1908 and moved to Geneva after the First World War. The company built its reputation on robust, precise everyday watches: the waterproof Oyster case of 1926, the Perpetual self-winding rotor of 1931 and the Datejust of 1945, the first self-winding wristwatch to show the date in a dial window.
