The Daniel Roth Academic Athys III (ref. 110.Y.50.101.CB.BA) is a dress watch with a 44 mm barrel case in yellow gold. It has a white dial under sapphire crystal.
It is powered by a self-winding mechanical movement. Features: Double-ellipse case, moon phase indicator, power reserve indicator, big date, roman numeral dial. Water-resistant to 30 m. The watch is fitted with an alligator leather strap with a folding clasp in yellow gold.

Daniel Roth is a watchmaker who worked at Breguet before establishing his own brand in the Vallée de Joux in the late 1980s. The watches are recognised by their double-ellipse case and by complications such as tourbillons, perpetual calendars and chronographs. The brand was later part of Bulgari and was revived by La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton in 2023.
Pieces typically found on the pre-owned market include the Masters chronograph, some fitted with the Zenith El Primero calibre, perpetual calendar chronographs with moon phase, skeleton chronographs and models from the Academic and Datomax lines.
