The F.P. Journe Chronomètre Souverain is a men's dress watch with a 40 mm round case in platinum. The dial is protected by sapphire crystal.
It is powered by the hand-wound mechanical calibre 1304 with a power reserve of 56 hours. Water-resistant to 50 m. The watch is fitted with a leather strap.
This example is brand new, dated 2024, and comes with the original box and papers.
Caliber 1304 is a manual-winding movement made of 18-carat rose gold. Its gear train is hidden under the dial, leaving a clear view of the plate with Côtes de Genève and the twin barrels.

F.P. Journe was founded in Geneva in 1999 by François-Paul Journe, a watchmaker trained in Paris. The brand produces a small number of watches each year with movements in rose gold, and is known for its research into chronometry, including the Tourbillon Souverain with a constant-force remontoire and the Chronomètre à Résonance.
Collections include the Souveraine line (Tourbillon Souverain, Chronomètre Souverain), the Octa models with large date and UTC indications, the Élégante with its electro-mechanical movement and Titalyt cases, and the sporty Linesport, which includes the Chronographe Monopoussoir Rattrapante. Many references are produced in platinum or as limited editions.
