The Breitling Navitimer 8 (ref. M17314101B1X1) is a men's pilot's watch with a 41 mm round case in PVD/DLC-coated steel and stainless steel. It has a black dial under sapphire crystal.
It is powered by the self-winding mechanical calibre 17 with a power reserve of up to 40 hours. Functions: Date. Water-resistant to 100 m. The watch is fitted with a calfskin strap with a pin buckle in DLC-coated steel.
This example is brand new, and comes with the original box and papers.
The Breitling 17 caliber is based on the proven ETA 2824-2 with a balance running at 28,800 vibrations per hour. Every movement is tested by the Swiss COSC institute and receives an official chronometer certificate.

Breitling was founded in 1884 by Léon Breitling in Saint-Imier, Switzerland, and later moved to Grenchen. The brand built its reputation on chronographs and instruments for aviation: it played an important part in developing the wrist chronograph with an independent pusher and introduced the Navitimer, with its slide-rule bezel for pilots, in 1952.
Today the main families are the Navitimer, the Chronomat with its rouleaux bracelet, the Superocean divers and the Avenger. The Professional line includes the Endurance Pro and the quartz Aerospace and Exospace B55 models, while the Aviator 8 and Super Chronomat (including the in-house B01 chronograph calibre) complete the range.
