The Breguet Type XXII (ref. 3880ST/H2/3HV) is a men's sports watch with a 44 mm round case in stainless steel. It has a black dial under sapphire crystal.
It is powered by the self-winding mechanical calibre 589 F with a power reserve of 45 hours. Functions: Split chronograph, second time zone, date. Water-resistant to 100 m. The watch is fitted with a leather strap with a folding clasp in steel.
This example is pre-owned and in good condition, and comes with the original box and papers.
The Breguet 589F caliber runs at 10 Hz (72,000 vibrations per hour), so the chronograph seconds hand makes a full turn in 30 seconds. It uses a silicon pallet fork, escape wheel and balance spring, so the high-frequency assembly needs no lubrication.

Breguet was founded in Paris in 1775 by Abraham-Louis Breguet, one of the most influential watchmakers in history. He is credited with the tourbillon, patented in 1801, as well as the Breguet overcoil and the self-winding perpétuelle watch. Many of the house's design codes, such as Breguet hands, hand-turned guilloché dials and fluted case bands, go back to his workshop. The manufacture is now in the Vallée de Joux and belongs to the Swatch Group.
