The Blancpain L-Evolution (ref. 8837 1134 53B) is a sports watch with a 43.5 mm round case in stainless steel. It has a black and grey dial.
It is powered by a self-winding mechanical movement. Features: Luminescent hands, luminescent markers, week number display, big date, transparent caseback. Water-resistant to 10 m. The watch is fitted with an alligator leather strap with a folding clasp in steel.
The in-house Blancpain 37R8G caliber consists of 370 parts and has three mainspring barrels providing 192 hours of autonomy. It features a silicon balance spring and a week-number module with a large date.

Blancpain traces its origins to 1735, when Jehan-Jacques Blancpain set up as a watchmaker in Villeret in the Swiss Jura, which makes it one of the oldest names in Swiss watchmaking. The house has remained focused on mechanical watches and is best known for the Fifty Fathoms, introduced in 1953 as one of the first modern diving watches, as well as for complications such as tourbillons, carrousels and full calendars.
The range is built around the Fifty Fathoms divers, including the Bathyscaphe and special editions, and the classic Villeret line with its slim, round cases, Roman numerals and moon-phase calendars. Earlier lines such as Ultra-Slim and Léman, tourbillon models and Grand Date pieces also appear regularly on the pre-owned market.
