MB&F L'epee Destination Moon

ABOUT COLLECTION

Destination Moon is a mechanical table clock in the shape of a rocket, a joint project of the independent laboratory MB&F and the Swiss manufacture L'Epée 1839. Introduced in 2017, its silhouette echoes the rockets of the mid-20th-century space age.

The key feature is the open vertical movement. Rather than being hidden in a case, it stands on an open frame, so the entire gear train can be seen at work. The calibre was developed by L'Epée 1839 specifically for the MB&F concept. The rocket stands on three legs resembling a spacecraft's landing gear.

Versions differ in the colour of the landing legs, so the choice is first about colour, then condition and completeness of set. Destination Moon reference 74.6000/114 has a stainless steel body combining matt and polished structural elements with black landing legs; its dial is black and silver.
